Read More As In Jump Breaks For BlogSpot

Read More Function Made Available By The Blogger Team

I've been asked by many of my friends and readers alike to create the 'Read More' function for their blogs, but my task was made easier by the esteem Blogger Team. In an announcement for the latest Blogger Birthday's feature, they present Jump Breaks - an easy way to implement 'Read More' links on their blog's index page.

The Blogger Team has announced a 'Read More' function in the post editor making it easy to add the said feature in your blog while writing/typing your latest post. It was well known The Blogger Team was working hard to get the 'Read More' function working as it was the most demanded feature by all Bloggers using Blogspot.

In fact their earlier attempts was documented on Blogger Help entitled, How can I create expandable post summaries? Yup, you're right! It was a complicated and error prone process.

And with their latest toy Jump Breaks, you can show just a snippet of your post on your blog's index page. Blogger will insert a "Read more" link to the full post page where your readers can keep on reading. Just keep writing/typing the post in your post editor as you usually do and insert Jump Breaks (the 'Read More' function) into it by hitting Jump Breaks button provided by the updated post editor in Blogspot or the post editor in Blogger In Draft.

By the way, to update the new post editor and enabling it to show the latest features, you gotta;

• Login to your Blogger's account


• From your Dashboard click on Settings


• (In Settings mode) under 'Basic' near the bottom of the page 'Select post editor' under the heading of 'Global Settings', click on 'Updated editor'.


• Last but not least, don't forget to save the new settings.


• Voila! Now you have a new post editor with the latest features enable!

This updated post editor is loaded with many latest features. Start using it and I'm sure you will like it.
